Abba is finally breaking the 39-year long silence. Reportedly, the legendary band will release some brand new music next Friday.
A Twitter account called ABBA Voyage posted a tweet this morning, with a link and an invitation. A picture with four circles had the caption: “02.09.21”. The link takes you to a site that asks you to register in order to hear next week’s announcement.
It reads: “Register your interest to be the first in line to hear more about ABBA Voyage.”
The suspense has left the Abba faithful fans on the edge of their seats.
According to the tabloid The Sun, members of the famous band are preparing to launch a show called “ABBA Voyage” in which the songs will be performed on stage by “ABBA-tars”, more precisely the holograms of Anni-Frid, Agnetha, Bjorn and Benny as young selves.
ABBA Voyage is reportedly going to take place at a purpose-built theater in East London for their holographic show, which will reportedly open next month.
The source revealed that Anni-Frid, Agnetha, Bjorn, and Benny (i.e. their Abba-tars) will look like younger versions of the musicians, who won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1974 with the song Waterloo. The spectators will also have the opportunity to see a documentary about the Swedish band’s comeback.
