Delicious but easy prepared: Kuglof

This cake is soft as a soul, but with a powerful taste.

Kuglof is one of the oldest modeled cakes in the world.It is popular in a wide region of Central Europe (sometimes known by another name with small variations), including southern Germany, Austria , Switzerland , Croatia , Serbia , Slovakia , the Czech Republic , Poland and Alsace . Also is closely associated with the Christmas cake in Italy known as the pandoro and the American bundt cake.

Easily and quickly prepare a dessert that you can serve with coffee.


  • 3 or 4 eggs
  • 250 g of margarine
  • 250 g of sugar
  • 250 g soft flour type 400
  • vanilla sugar as needed
  • baking powder
  • 6 tablespoons milk
  • nuts (if desired)
  • 200 g of chocolate (can also be powdered)
  • Preparation

    Whisk margarine, sugar, vanilla sugar, and eggs in one bowl.

    Mix flour and baking powder with milk in another bowl.

    Then combine these two mixtures. Add chocolate to the resulting mixture. Insert the mixture into the kuglof mold and bake at 170 ° C for about 45-50 minutes.

    That is it! You can decorate it as you like. With melted chocolate, or powder sugar, or something else.
