The 30-year-old singer-songwriter told the British media that he suffers from the nightmare every night and does not know how to fix it.

Ed Sheeran has spoken and sung about the dark side of his personality before, and in 2011 he released the song "Nightmares", with, in light of his recent statements, very indicative lyrics: “When the darkness creeps in, I feel my nightmares watching me. And when my dreams are sleeping, I feel my nightmares watching me.

Although he says "sleep's the only thing that I never see" in the same song, it is only now clear to us that these verses should be taken literally. Namely, Sheeran revealed that he dreams again and again that an unidentified bully shoots him in the head. "It happens every single night. I can't explain it. Strange, isn't it? I'm not going to therapy, but if I did, I'm sure my therapist would have something to say about it," the author of the hit 'Shape of You' told GQ magazine .

Ian Wallace, a dream expert, offered his interpretation of Sheeran's nightmare to the British tabloid The Sun: "The head is a symbol of a person's identity, so if we dream that someone is shooting at it, it can be interpreted as an attack on our identity or the way we represent the world. Maybe Ed feels pressured to make music he doesn't like himself. A shot to the head can also be the critique that he receives from his audience."

Whatever is the source of Shiran's nightmares, we want him to get rid of them as soon as possible.

We remind you that the British singer plans to release a new album at the end of October. The first single from the upcoming album came out in mid-September and you can listen to it here.
