Six months after qutting alcohol, super model opened up about her addiction

Bella Hadid, born October 9, 1996, has been open about her mental health in the past. She always shared everything with her fans.

Now, she is openly talking about her struggles after quitting alcohol. Six months later, she said she finally feels better. Bella said she doesn’t ‘feel the need‘ to drink anymore and she is enjoying the benefits of being sober.

Hadid admitted that she gave up drinking because she couldn’t “control” herself. The model, now 25, has been alcohol-free for six months and claims to be feeling a lot better as a result.

Bella explained how her doctors’ demonstrations of the effects of alcohol had also managed to make her not miss it.

In her interview with  InStyle, Bella said: “I have done my fair share of drinking. I loved alcohol and it got to the point where even I started to, you know, cancel nights out that I felt like I wouldn’t be able to control myself.”

She added: “I don’t feel the need [to drink anymore] because I know how it will affect me at three in the morning when I wake up with horrible anxiety thinking about that one thing I said five years ago when I graduated high school.

“There’s just this never-ending effect of, essentially, you know, pain and stress over those few drinks that didn’t really do much, you know?”

Her admission comes after she made comments about enduring “excruciating” agony during “depressive episodes.”

In a post shared with her 48 million Instagram followers last year, she opened up to fans about the “breakdowns and burnouts” she experienced.

In November Isabella Khair Hadid posted selfies in a very distressed and emotional state. Bella included a photo in which she was obviously crying, and tears are going down her cheeks.

The supermodel admitted that she has “good days,” where she doesn’t feel depressed and has less anxiety. But, she also said that there is no guarantee. The next day she could feel “the complete opposite.”

And now, In her latest interview with the Wall Street Journal, she discusses her “depressive episodes”.Bella said she would send pictures to her mother, former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star and model, Yolanda Hadid. The model said that she didn’t know a better way to express her feelings.
Bella Hadid has always been outspoken about her mental health and her struggles with depression.

Bella explained how she felt it was the easiest way to express herself through photos at the time. She added that she was “never able to explain how [she] was feeling”.

She continued: “I would just be in excruciating and debilitating mental and physical pain, and I didn’t know why. That was over the past three years.”

Hadid’s modelling career began when she was just sixteen years old with a commercial project for Flynn Skye. Since then, she walked for a very long list of the most powerful names in the modelling industry. She appeared on the covers of international magazines like Vogue and Cosmopolitan.

Now, she is the co-founder and partner of Kin Euphorics, a nonalcoholic adaptogenic beverage brand with CEO and co-founder Jen Batchelor.
