In the documentary of the popular internet platform “Netflix” about Michael Schumacher, Corrina Schumacher opened her soul about everything that happened before, but also after the tragic ski accident in the Alps in 2013, in which Schumacher hit a rock with his head and suffered serious head injuries.

I miss him every day,” Corrina said sadly.

But it’s not just me who misses him. It’s the children, the family, his father, everyone around him, but Michael is here, different, but here. He still shows me every day how strong he is,” she added.

Schumacher’s better half revealed that Michael intended to leave the Alps for warmer regions, just before the accident which sent him into a medically induced coma for over a year.

Shortly before the accident, he told me that the snow was not optimal and that we could go to Dubai for skydiving,” Corrina said.

Hundreds of dangerous races in a Formula 1 car did not leave any consequences on Schumacher’s body, but skiing was unfortunately fatal for the legendary athlete, who resides in his house near Lake Geneva, far from the public eye.

We’d always made it through his races safely,” she says in the documentary. “Which is why I was certain he had a few guardian angels that were keeping an eye out for him. I don’t know if it’s just a kind of protective wall that you put up yourself or if it’s because you’re in a way naive but it simply never occurred to me that anything could ever happen to Michael.” Corrina added.

The mother of Schumacher’s two children says that she does not think of looking for the culprit in a higher power.

I never blamed God for why this happened now. It was just really bad luck, all the bad luck anyone could ever have in their life,” Corrina pointed out.

She also explained what family life looks like now.

We’re together. We live together at home. We do therapy. We do everything we can to make Michael better and to make sure he’s comfortable. And to simply make him feel our family, our bond. And no matter what, I will do everything I can. We all will. We’re trying to carry on as a family, the way Michael liked it and still does. And we are getting on with our lives.” Corrina admitted.
