Motorola has unveiled the Moto Edge 20 Pro and Moto Edge 20 outside of China this year, and these are actually rebranded Chinese Moto Edge S Pro and Moto Edge Lite. The Moto Edge 20 Pro is reputed to be one of the phones that gives a great value for money, and Motorola has now released a teaser of the upcoming Moto Edge X phone, which should be positioned above the Edge 20 Pro phone.
Namely, Lenovo's general manager of smartphones in China, Chen Jin, shared the Moto Edge X phone teaser on the popular Chinese social network, but unfortunately, he did not share any specifications of this phone but stated that we can expect a lot from it.
Motorola has not introduced a phone with the Snapdragon 888 this year, and in that sense, there is a possibility that the upcoming Moto Edge X will be powered by this chip from Qualcomm. However, Technikinews recently reported that Motorola is preparing the Moto G200, which will be powered by a Snapdragon 888 chip, which will arrive in combination with 8 GB of RAM, and it is possible that the phone will have the ability to virtually expand RAM. What’s a bit disappointing is that the phone will ship with Android 11, even though Android 12 is already around the corner. The report states that the Moto G200 will have a screen with Full HD + support and that the screen refresh rate will be as high as 144 Hz. It is probably an IPS LCD screen, which the Moto G100 also has.
On the other hand, a few days ago we shared the information that Motorola will be the second-largest smartphone manufacturer in the world, after Xiaomi, which will present a phone with the unimagined Snapdragon 898 chipset, and in that sense, there is a possibility that Moto Edge X will be powered exactly the Snapdragon 898. This chip is expected to be introduced later this month or early next month, and the first phone to be powered by the said chip will be the Xiaomi 12.
We expect Motorola to share more details about this phone in the coming days.
