Ridley Scott hates “Alien” TV series

Noah Hawley, a director known for the series Legion and Fargo, will start filming the new TV series Alien next year for the production company FX Networks and the streaming platform Hulu.

No details about the series are known at this time, except that it is known to take place on Earth, but already now the reactions are quite negative, and one of the fiercest critics is director Ridley Scott who said he opposes filming the series because it will “never be as good as” his 1979 original.

Admittedly, Scott also has his own problems, as his film Alien: Covenant didn’t go well at the box office so he is still bitter over it. Maybe his new movie The Last Duel changes that.

On the other hand, Hawley believes that the film and the series should not even be compared, because it will not follow the events related to Ripley (Sigourney Weaver), but tells its own story set on Earth.

It will be interesting to see how famous monsters made as biological weapons by one ancient race will cruise our cities and streets and whether action or horror will prevail more. Honestly, we are a bit skeptical, but as they say, “we’ll see”.
