When Jimmy Kimmel asked Tom Hanks if it was true that the founder of Amazon had asked him to join the space flight before actor William Shatner, he replied, "Well, yes, provided I pay."

"You know, the flight costs about $ 28 million or something. I'm doing well, Jimmy, I'm doing well, but I'm not paying $ 28 million," Hanks said.

The actor then joked that they could simulate a space flight in the studio.

The flight is about 12 minutes, we could all do it in our seats here,” he said before he started rocking in a chair like in a spaceship.

I don’t have to spend $ 28 million to do that,” he said, adding that perhaps if the flight had been free, he would have done it just to feel what it’s like to be a billionaire.

William Shatner, 90, became the oldest person to travel into space when he joined crew members on a New Shepard rocket for the NS-18 mission last month. His space voyage followed three months after Bezos traveled into space with the same rocket for Blue Origin’s first space flight with humans.
