The art world does not always look at nudity as a part of art, so it is not uncommon for some works of art to have been censored or even altered over the years to suit current rules and public mood.

With the advent of social media, nudity that is acceptable in museums and galleries was suddenly no longer acceptable on the internet. So how then to attract visitors to visit museums and galleries?

The Vienna Tourist Board has figured out how to use technology and the Internet and promote its museums and galleries. After being often censored on social media because of nudity, Viennese decided to turn to a platform that allows nudity - OnlyFans.

It is a platform founded in 2016, which works on the principle of subscription, and connects content creators with subscribers. Since it is closed to anyone who does not have a registered account, it can afford a little more freedom, and in this case, it means nudity.

Those who choose to subscribe to the adult content of the Vienna Tourist Board will have the opportunity to view a handful of works of art whenever they wish. Some of the subscribers also had the opportunity to win tickets for the museums participating in the project - Leopold Museum, Kunsthistorisches Museum Vienna, Naturhistorisches Museum Vienna, or Albertina.

As they point out on the official website of the project, subscribers are offered an insight into the provocative works of Egon Schiele, Richard Gerstl, Coloman Moser, and Amedeo Modigliani, which are otherwise available in Viennese museums.
