Gary Neville Says Man United Most Likely For Harry Kane This Summer

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane is expected to make a move this summer, with several clubs interested. Manchester United in particular are looking to strengthen their strike force this summer.

However, United will have a difficult time securing Kane’s services. He has just over one year remaining on his contract at Tottenham and the club are unwilling to let him depart.

Neville:?50m-?60m for Rice?

Manchester United are believed to be targeting Harry Kane as their top target this summer, with Erik ten Hag making him his top priority. Unfortunately, Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy demanding a reported PS200m fee for the talisman, it appears unlikely that United will be able to sign him without breaking their own transfer record.

Gary Neville is confident Man Utd will not pass up the chance to sign Kane. He believes the England captain would be a ‘great signing’ and one who fits perfectly into Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s style of play.

West Ham midfielder Declan Rice has been linked with a move to Old Trafford for some time, and Neville recently suggested that he take inspiration from Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure from the club in 2009. The Portuguese star left in 2009, and Neville believes his departure helped the club prepare for its next stage of growth.

Neville:?50m-?60m for Kane?

Man Utd have been heavily linked with a summer move for Harry Kane after he became Tottenham’s all-time leading goalscorer at Wembley on Sunday. But Neville believes Old Trafford may need to shell out around PS100m if they wish to secure his services.

Kane has been in remarkable form this season, but his future at Tottenham remains uncertain. His current deal expires in 2024 and although he has expressed an interest in renewing, there’s no assurance that a new contract will be signed.

Neville believes Neymar will still be available on the open market if Tottenham decide to sell in the summer – and believes it would be a no-brainer for United to make such an acquisition.

The former Manchester City striker points to Casemiro arriving at a similar age last season and suggests that an investment of PS60m-?70m and salary of 20m annually for five years would amount to around PS170m. If United sign the former Manchester City star, they could break their Premier League title drought this season and begin winning silverware again.

Neville:?50m-?60m for Osimhen?

Gary Neville is calling on Manchester United to go all-out in pursuit of Harry Kane this summer. He believes the England captain can help Manchester United win their first Premier League title since 2013 and believes they would be willing to spend up to PS100m if necessary.

He also suggests Manchester United consider Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, as the Nigeria international is a top-flight star who has scored 17 goals this season in Serie A and could potentially qualify for next season’s Champions League. But according to TEAMtalk’s Paul Jacobs, Osimhen appears contented at Napoli and may not want to leave anytime soon.

According to The Daily Telegraph, United are facing a “PS100m striker dilemma” as Erik ten Hag ponders whether to sign Osimhen or Tottenham’s Harry Kane. While Osimhen may fit better with Ten Hag’s profile of wanting an attacking player who offers pace, strength and pressing, the Man Utd boss remains uncertain over certain elements of his game as well as his poor injury record.

Neville:?50m-?60m for Ramos?

Neville has made it known that Man United are the only club who could realistically sign Kane this summer. He believes the England international is the only player in English football capable of challenging for silverware with Tottenham this season and believes Man United are a prime target to sign him.

Sky Sports pundit John Stone has suggested Man Utd would be willing to break their PS89m transfer record and spend up to PS100m on a striker if they were to sign him. Stone also compared Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s progress at United with Jurgen Klopp’s progress at Liverpool during his first three years in charge.

Neville has predicted that United will win next season’s Premier League title if they add Kane and Jadon Sancho. He believes United can remain competitive against rivals such as Liverpool and City if they address their most pressing needs in the transfer market over the coming months.
