Six Reasons to Drink Green Juice Every Day

We have been taught that eating green vegetables is an important part of our diet; especially if it’s fresh. Juicing green vegetables on a daily basis is the best way to include plenty of greens in our diet. Not only do we get a large quantity of the nutrients in green vegetables through juicing, but it is easy to consume. And by mixing different types of juices, we can create delicious juice cocktails for our family (including our children).

 

What is green juice? It is a mixture of green vegetables that are delicious together. Basic ingredients include celery, spinach, cucumber, and apples or carrots to add flavor.

 

Below are six reasons to drink green juices daily…

 

Promotes the Absorption of Nutrients: by removing the juice from the pulp (cellulose), your body can more easily digest the nutrients trapped in the cell walls of the vegetable.

 

Makes it Possible to Consume More Greens: extracting the juice from the pulp reduces the quantity of solid food while increasing the quantity of juice (liquid food). Essentially, you will be drinking concentrated quantities of vegetable juice, which is far less filling than having to also consume the pulp.

This leads to toxic buildup, and a breakdown in our immune system. Hence the rise in disease. Juicing green vegetables provides the body the needed quantities of minerals to maintain a healthy body and immune system.

 

A Good Source of Enzymes: enzymes help with the digestion of foods; without enzymes the pancreas would have to produce them, and this could overtax that organ. Whenever you cook vegetables, you destroy valuable enzymes. Juicing is the best way to get all the available enzymes needed to promote good digestion and avoid overtaxing the pancreas.

 

Tastes Better in Juice Form: when you mix greens and fruits together, you not only increase the diversity of nutrients, but also can improve the flavor and taste of the juice. Many leafy vegetables, when eaten, have a harsh or slightly bitter taste which children do not like. In juice form, you can control the flavor, providing a glass of juice that your children will love. Just add a touch of apple or carrot to the leafy green juice; there is no need to add too much.
