Although in some previous interviews, director Hwang Dong-Hyuk said that there is nothing concrete except some plans for filming the second season, now he has officially confirmed it.

There’s been so much pressure, so much demand and so much love for a second season," he said. "So I almost feel like you leave us no choice! But I will say there will indeed be a second season."

Recall, director Hwang Dong Huck previously gave an interview to the Guardian in which he spoke about the undeniable success of the series. Even then, he made it known that they were thinking about filming the sequel and that he would talk to Netflix about it.
